The victim, Bimal Chandra Roy, suffered significant financial losses as the attackers razed his property following the election results. This violent incident has once again sparked concerns regarding the safety and security of the Hindu community during the transition of power.

Local BNP leaders and the newly elected MP visited the site to show support, though the absence of Jamaat-e-Islami representatives has raised eyebrows.
